Time Tracker for Designers

Design work rarely happens in neat blocks. A logo round here, a client call there, an hour of revisions late at night. Tally is a time tracker for designers and other creatives that keeps up with that, and turns the hours into something you can show and bill.
Timers on your Figma files
Connect Figma with a personal access token, add your team and pick a client for each folder. Recent files appear on Track Time, and tapping one starts a timer tagged with that file. Nothing is posted to Figma. Figma is on every plan.
Design time you forgot to track
On Premium, Tally reads your own saves in each file's version history and suggests the times you worked but didn't time. Other people's edits are never used, and Tally never sees the designs themselves or watches your screen. Past client calls in your calendar can be suggested the same way.
Show the client where the time went
Tag sessions as build, research and prep, meeting, review or admin, so the research and revision rounds that usually go unseen show up in your reports. Then send a client report link: a live page of your hours for that client, with optional notes and amounts. Your client needs no account, and it prints or saves as a PDF.
Retainers, fixed fees and hourly work
Record each client's deal as hourly, retainer or fixed price, with the hours you owe each week or month and a cap in hours or dollars. Tally warns you at 80% and 100% of the cap, so scope creep shows up before it costs you.
Invoices, expenses and mileage
Log expenses and mileage on any plan. On Premium, create an invoice from your tracked hours, add the billable expenses, and send it with a Stripe payment link so your client can pay online.

- Does Tally change anything in Figma?
- No. Tally lists your recent files so you can start a timer on one, and on Premium reads your own saves in version history to suggest untracked time. Nothing is posted to Figma.
- Does Tally record my screen or the apps I use?
- No. Suggestions come only from your own Figma saves, Git commits and calendar meetings. Tally never takes screenshots or records apps, websites or keystrokes.
- Can I track a retainer or fixed-price project?
- Yes. A contract can be hourly, a retainer or a fixed price, with required hours per week or month and a cap. Short weeks carry forward as makeup hours.
- Is Figma on the free plan?
- Yes. Timers on your Figma files, task tools like Asana, Trello and Notion, client report links, and expenses and mileage are free for up to 5 clients. Premium adds the design time suggestions and invoices.
