Private automatic tracking
Forgot the timer? Tally noticed.
Tally finds the hours you'd lose from the work you already did: commits, design saves and client meetings. It never watches your screen. You check each suggestion and add it in one tap.
How it works
- Connect GitHub, GitLab, Figma or your calendar, and link each one to a client.
- When you open your dashboard, work with no session shows up as a suggestion, with the hours worked out.
- Change the hours if you need to, then tap Add. Skip anything that wasn't client work.
Your Monday recap email lists the time that looks untracked, and smart reminders around 5pm point out a meeting or commits with no time that day.
What Tally reads
GitHub and GitLab
Finds: Commits and pull or merge requests you made with no timer running, with the hours worked out.
Reads: Your own commits and pull or merge requests in the repositories you choose: when you made them, the first line of the message and any ticket key.
Never: Your code. Tally can't download it or change anything.
Calendar
Finds: Past client meetings with no session. You say which meetings are client work, by guest email domain or a word in the title.
Reads: Past events from the last two weeks (up to 60 days if you choose): times, titles and guest email addresses. Google Calendar, or a link from Proton, Outlook or iCloud.
Never: Your events aren't stored, and Tally can't change your calendar.
Figma
Finds: Design time in files you saved but didn't time.
Reads: Your own saves in each file's version history.
Never: Other people's edits, or the designs themselves.
What Tally never does
- Record your screen or screenshots
- Record which apps or websites you use
- Record keystrokes or mouse activity
- Record your code, email or documents
- Add time without you: every suggestion waits for your tap
Disconnect any source in Integrations, any time. Only the sessions you add are saved.
Questions
Is it free?
Suggestions are part of Premium: $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year per user, with a 1-week free trial on yearly. See pricing →
Can my client see it?
No. Suggestions are only for you. Your client sees the sessions you add, if you share a report link, with the pull requests and commits for each one when you choose to show notes.
Do I still need the timer?
Yes. The timer is still the easiest, most accurate and most transparent way: it records exactly when you worked, your client's report shows each entry came from the timer, and on a ticket the hours post to Jira, Linear and the rest. Suggestions catch the time you forgot. See integrations →
